I think it's allowed because it's pretty easy to discover, is still in the game and is based on randomness. Like I mentioned earlier it's just a more efficient way, it's not infinite but it seemingly can be.

I don't know what it's like at high level. If you get Eridium capped just from leveling to 51 or Or if the slot machines are even worth the time to get legendaries.

I discovered it on a low level character below level 10, my highest isn't even 30 yet which brings me to the following. Do you get more Eridium from the slot machines at higher levels?

Can you find like 32 stacks of Eridium in the world rather than for example 1 or 4 at the lower levels? How many upgrade 'tiers' are there and what are the costs?

The answers to these should decide whether it's worth it to cap Eridium upgrades with the slot machines. A lower level character has a reduced cost on the rolls but also what you get back is reduced not sure if that also applies to Eridium.

So while the farming method should be efficient at any level. Rolling for Eridium for example is more efficient at lower levels because you trade money or use the stash to gift an expensive weapon in order to raise the capital on that character which then allows it to do a crazy number of rolls.

The same amount of rolls at a higher level would be much more expensive. Final note, I believe the weapons that come out of the machine are based around the lowest level of the party member.

This is a great write-up! The amount of Eridium that can be won per roll remains constant at all levels, regardless of cost of the roll.

The 'level' of the machines correspond to that of the Host. This trick is best applied when the intent is to farm for Eridium, with the Hosts' level being as low as possible while the 'farmer' being far enough through the game to have a few million in the bank.

As for farming legendary items, the time consumption is the main factor that makes this method of farming undesirable.

This is written really well but tbh if you want to farm eridium you're better off moonshotting the warrior. Speed run a mule to the warrior on pt1and bring in whichever character you want to stock up on eridium as player 2.
